Dawna Barton

Dawna Wagstaff Barton, a Salt Lake City watercolorist, was born in Moab, Utah. She studied graphic arts in Utah and Wyoming. Barton's works were in Deseret News shows (1977, 1978) while she also ran a shop called The Frame Makers in Salt Lake City. She showed her work at the Artists in Action Gallery, Heritage Square, Salt Lake City (1980) and established Apple Yard Art (1981) in partnership with fellow artists Sue Valentine (q.v.) and daughter Brooke Morrison (q.v.). Dawna Barton enjoyed painting colorful flower subjects, which were shown at the Kimball Art Center in Park City and elsewhere.
